David Barnwell understands that keeping your audience engaged is the most important factor of any live event.

Dan Carroll and Cynthia Lussier wedding (September 2015):

David was hired to emcee Dan and Cynthia’s wedding reception. An intimate gathering of 100 family members and friends, the event was held at the beautiful Links of Kent in Chatham, Ontario. Although the wedding was quite traditional, David was asked to make the atmosphere of the reception fun and relaxed.

Above and Beyond Concert: Rock for SickKids (April 2016):

Having been found through Facebook, David was approached by event organizers about hosting a rock show. Given his background of being in two different rock bands, and previous fundraising work in support of SickKids Hospital, he gladly participated. The event was held at Toronto’s Mod Club.

City of Brampton New Year’s Eve 2015 Family Zone (December 2015):

The City of Brampton requested David to host their family zone, yet again. Always happy to do work with them, he hosted the City Hall indoor/outdoor event, introducing performers, keeping the event running on time, and making all special announcements that were requested by event organizers. The indoor audience of over 300, and outdoor audience of over 1000 had an absolute blast, ringing in the new year!

City of Brampton Citizen Service Platform Awards (October 2011):

The City of Brampton put on an award show for its IT Department at Turnberry Golf Course. It was to celebrate the achievements of the 70+ member team, and introductions were made for Mayor Susan Fennell, the City Manager Deborah Dubenofsky, Commissioner of Finance Mo Lewis, as well as the keynote Omar Rashid from Microsoft.

MoMondays Brampton (2013/2014):

An open mic for motivational speakers. David has been brought in as a guest host over the 11 months of its lifespan. Countless speaker introductions and lots of live technical difficulties to navigate through. The usual audience of 30 enjoys the atmosphere.

Knights Table Food Bank Volunteer & Donor Appreciation Event (August 2014):

The Knights Table Food Bank celebrates their volunteer and donor involvement every August. With an audience of almost 200, 10 awards, 6 performers, 7 speakers, and Justice Donald McLoed as keynote, it was a wonderful opportunity to participate in a charity event.

City of Brampton Family Stage – Canada Day 2012:

The City of Brampton has a large Canada Day event each year, typically with two or three entertainment stages. I was the host of the family stage, and kept the audience entertained by getting the children engaged in song with the performers. It had an age range from 2-80+ and was visited by over 1000 Bramptonians through the event.

City of Brampton Family Stage – New Years Eve 2011:

The City of Brampton hosts Bramptonians in their downtown atmosphere every New Years Eve. Two stages showcase a variety of entertainment. David co-hosted the family stage with entertainment legend Patricia Silver, then the owner of Sphere Entertainment. Sharing the stage with Pat was a feather in David’s cap. With an audience of over 2000, it was a thrilling way for David to start his career as a professional Master of Ceremonies.

Deepak Manchanda Business Professionals 90-minute seminar (November 2012): Deepak Manchanda presented a 90-minute seminar in Brampton, which helped encourage new Canadians and business professionals to reach their potential, with respect to success and happiness in the business world. Introductions for dignitaries, and a professional Yoga Instructor were made.

Jon Held and Robyn Huang Wedding (September 2013):

David was hired to perform this couple’s first dance song, at their wedding. The piece “To make you feel my love” held special meaning for the bride. This wedding was featured in Style Me Pretty magazine.
